The southern leg of the national Trans Canada Trail, about 1,765 km of cycling sections from Victoria to the Alberta border. It threads Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, the Kettle Valley Rail Trail through the Okanagan, and the Kootenays. This is a network of segments with meaningful gaps between them, not one continuous line, so expect road links and detours. A few stretches, including much of the KVR Coquihalla corridor, are closed for now. Some of the Trail is hilly, on roads, on rough gravel, and/or remote: look into the details so you are prepared.
