In Quebec, where the Bienvenue cyclistes! program has run for decades, 31% of overnight cycle tourists adapt their itinerary based on certification (47% stayed at a certified establishment, and two-thirds of those said certification influenced their choice). The Accredited badge is how we signal that to BC's growing cycle tourism market.

We can look up trail maps and hospital phone numbers — what we can't look up is the local knowledge that makes a cyclist's trip easier.
