SS Sicamous
The S.S. Sicamous is a restored 1914 CPR sternwheeler permanently moored on Okanagan Lake in Penticton, now the centrepiece of a marine heritage park preserving Okanagan waterway history. Cyclists touring the Lakeshore Drive corridor will find a striking piece of regional heritage with exhibits on the KVR railway, early Okanagan history, and a collection of historic vessels including the S.S. Naramata. The ship features an elevator providing access to its primary museum level, and is available for community events year-round.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka’pamux), Syilx (Okanagan), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
