The Garden Railway is a free outdoor model train display within the Burnaby Central Railway park, operated by the British Columbia Society of Model Engineers. Opened permanently in July 2018, it features G gauge (45mm) and O gauge (32mm) scale trains — some battery powered, some electric, and some live steam — running on a track with bridges and gradients. When volunteers are present for an operating session, visitors can watch the miniature trains run up close, making it a quirky and charming stop for touring cyclists passing through Burnaby.
