The Italian Garden is a serene, symmetrical formal garden completed in 1914, located within the grounds of Hatley Park — a National Historic Site on the Royal Roads University campus about 25 minutes from downtown Victoria. Part of a larger garden complex including Japanese and rose gardens, the grounds are freely accessible and sit within a 260-hectare parkland that also offers hiking and biking trails. The iconic Hatley Castle provides a dramatic backdrop to the manicured grounds.
