North View Nature Reserve
North View Nature Reserve is a 7.2-hectare protected area on Salt Spring Island, managed by the Salt Spring Island Conservancy and donated to conservation in 2008. The reserve features a mix of coastal Douglas-fir forest, hardwoods, and restored areas once clear-cut and now being replanted with native species to remove invasive Scotch Broom. Touring cyclists stopping on Salt Spring Island can walk the full trail network in about half an hour to an hour, making it a short, accessible nature detour.
