8th Generation Vineyard is a family-owned estate winery in Summerland operated by Bernd and Stefanie Schales, who brought eight generations of German winemaking heritage to the Okanagan Valley when they arrived in 2003. The winery produces small-batch, estate-grown wines using sustainable, additive-free methods from vineyards they manage entirely themselves. Cyclists passing along Highway 97 can visit the farmhouse wine shop for tastings and to pick up a bottle.
