The Summerland Museum and Archives has been collecting and preserving local history since 1965, with permanent exhibits covering Indigenous pre-contact history, Okanagan fruit farming, and the era of the Kettle Valley Railway. Its most popular exhibit is a working scale model of the Kettle Valley Railway, complemented by a striking 15-metre mural painted by Summerland local artist Bruce Crawford. Located near the shores of Okanagan Lake and a short drive from Penticton, it is a natural cultural stop on a southern Okanagan cycling tour.
