Moderate One step up. Some real climbing, or a rougher surface.

Difficulty Our overall read of how demanding a route is. We score surface roughness, climbing, singletrack, and how far it runs from services. The route publisher's own rating, a lot of busy road riding, or sheer scale can push the tier up, never down.

How we describe routes →

In Powell River, on the lands the Tla'amin people call Tiskwat, rides run from the 1.5 km Willingdon Trail and waterfront seawalk to a 13 km town loop, taking in the National Historic District Townsite with its century-old mill-town streets. Family-friendly at the short end, hillier as the loops grow, with the ocean rarely out of sight.
