Valhalla Pines Campground
Valhalla Pines is a six-acre forested campground near Vallican in the Slocan Valley, offering private huts, RV sites, and tent sites set among fir and pine forest with mountain and river surroundings. Host Tom is a local guide who provides hands-on recommendations for cycling, hiking, swimming holes, and paddling the Slocan River, making it a natural base for Kootenay adventure. The campground sits on the Frog Peak Loop route with no cell coverage on the approach road but excellent on-site Wi-Fi, giving it a genuinely off-grid character.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Ĩyãħé Nakón mąkóce (Stoney), Ktunaxa ɁamakɁis, Secwepemcúl’ecw (Secwépemc), snʕickstx tmxʷúlaʔxʷ (Sinixt), Syilx (Okanagan), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
