Historic 1926 suspension bridge over the Fraser at the Cariboo Road crossing.

Alexandra Bridge Park is a small BC Parks day-use site preserving the historic crossing point where Joseph Trutch's 1861 Cariboo Wagon Road bridge—named after Princess Alexandra of Wales—once spanned the Fraser River. Touring cyclists on the Trans-Canada Highway through the Fraser Canyon will find it a natural rest stop with picnic facilities, situated about 40 km north of Hope with access from both highway directions. The park occupies territory that has served as a Fraser River crossing and fishing ground for over 9,500 years, lending it exceptional cultural and historical depth.
