Texada Ridge Runner Route

144 km · Weekend or moreChallengingComfortable for mostMostly gravelLots of climbing

The Texada Ridge Runner traverses the island's spine from Blubber Bay to Anderson Bay and back, 144 km of quiet gravel past old farmsteads, forgotten airstrips, and beaches, with views across to Vancouver Island and the mainland mountains. The climbing is staggering for an island ride, steep and frequent, so two days is a challenge and three is a holiday. Camp oceanside at Anderson Bay or by Bob's Lake, and enjoy a rare bonus: Texada has no bears. Ferry from Powell River.
