The Powell River Sampler runs one way from Saltery Bay to Powell River, mixing over 50 km of loamy, ribboned singletrack with easy gravel, past waterfalls, lakes, ocean views, and the bird-rich Duck Lake protected area. Community-built cabins and lakeside campsites make the nights comfortable, and an optional hike-a-bike detour climbs to Walt Hill's 360-degree views. Rooty, technical trails call for real mountain bike skills. It links the Lower Sunshine Coast route with the Comox ferry, so the whole coast chains together.
