How we describe routes →This point-to-point route explores the upper Sunshine Coast between Egmont and Secret Cove, with variations from 3 to 36 km taking in Garden Bay, Francis Point, and the Suncoaster Trail. The country is hilly and forested, the ocean never far, and the side trip to Skookumchuck Narrows, where the tide boils through at up to 30 cm a second, is worth planning around the current tables. Expect real climbing and some rough surfaces.
