Alice Lake + Holberg Loops

The Alice Lake and Holberg loops are the North Island's long days out: 120 to 128 km of backcountry gravel through deep forest and past big lakes, quiet, remote, and rich in wildlife. Real climbing and long distances between services, so treat them as full expeditions rather than rides. Holberg's famously remote pub is en route for those who plan well.
