The Blue Heron Loop covers 18 km of quiet dyke gravel, farmland, and forest singletrack between Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge. Nearly flat but almost all unpaved and rough in stretches, it rewards wider tires and unhurried pace, and the birdwatching, herons especially, is the point.
