A 110 km loop from Smithers that packs in the Babine Mountains' best: 60 km of scenic rolling gravel, then a purpose-built singletrack climb through conifer forest to the old Cronin fire lookout, over Hyland Pass past the abandoned Silver King Mine, and into a 23 km descent to the Joe L'Orsa Cabin, a beautiful spot to spend the night. Steep climbs, possible snow early in the season, and no resupply, so carry everything for two to three days. Back in Smithers in time for brunch.
