Bugwood Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe on Main Street in downtown Smithers, BC, housed in a distinctive timber-frame building constructed from mountain pine beetle-damaged 'bugwood' lumber — the forestry history that gives it its name and character. Founded by Nick and Mika Meyer, who drew on their own forestry backgrounds, the business sources and hand-roasts its own beans and has earned a strong local reputation as Smithers' best coffee, complete with a sample bar and regular latte art events. A separate roastery and coffee-education space operates nearby on Fulton Ave, making it a genuine destination for coffee-curious touring cyclists passing through north-central BC.
