The Pitt Lake trails run 20 km one way (40 return) from Pitt Meadows through polder farmland and marsh to the shores of one of the world's few freshwater tidal lakes. Flat the whole way but rough gravel in long stretches, so wider tires help. The birdwatching, eagles, herons, and sandhill cranes in season, is among the region's best.
