Sushi Bar Maumi
Sushi Bar Maumi is a family-run, 17-seat counter restaurant on Robson Street specializing in traditional Edo-style omakase nigiri sushi — the first in Vancouver to offer this counter-based format focused solely on nigiri. Chef Maumi Ozaki brings over 33 years of experience, preparing each piece individually and serving it directly over the counter with fish imported daily from Japan. The restaurant has received Michelin recognition and emphasizes a quiet, respectful atmosphere centred on the flavours of authentic Japanese technique.
