The Lamplighter Public House
Vancouver's oldest pub, The Lamplighter has operated since 1925 in the heart of historic Gastown, in a building that dates to 1899 when it opened as The Dominion Hotel. The 4,000 sq ft brick-lined venue features stained glass windows, a street-level patio, 50 beers on tap, arcade games, and a DJ booth—and holds the distinction of being the first beer parlour licence issued in BC after Prohibition. Operated by the Donnelly Group's Freehouse Collective, it sits on Water Street within easy reach of the Gastown cycling network.
