Skwachàys Lodge
Skwachàys Lodge is Vancouver's Indigenous boutique hotel, transformed from a derelict SRO into a social enterprise that pairs 18 uniquely designed guest rooms with on-site housing and studio space for 24 Indigenous artists. Each room is a collaboration between a top hotel designer and an Indigenous artist, making the hotel itself a functioning gallery. It sits at the crossroads of Gastown, Chinatown, and Railtown, placing guests in the heart of Vancouver's historic east side.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish), Stz’uminus, šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
