Friends Campground is one of four campgrounds within Kokanee Creek Provincial Park on Kootenay Lake, 19 km east of Nelson off paved Hwy 3A, with access to over a kilometre of sandy beach, old-growth cedar canyon trails, and a kokanee spawning channel; full amenities including showers, e-bike charging, and electrical hook-ups make it comfortable, but it is a heavily visited summer destination that books out fast.
