Asteras is an authentic Greek taverna set inside a heritage home more than 100 years old in downtown Nanaimo's Old City Quarter, specializing in traditional Cretan recipes made entirely in-house from whole foods daily. The menu spans house-made mezethes, fresh seafood, slow-roasted lamb, and a dedicated vegetarian section, all served with generous portions and a full wine selection. The restaurant has earned six Best of City Awards in 2024, including Best Overall Restaurant.
