Mamalee
Mamalee is an authentic Malaysian restaurant with two Vancouver locations; this downtown Chinatown outpost serves Hainanese chicken, laksa noodle soup, roti canai, and curry beef brisket. The restaurant's roots trace back to founder Betty Lee, who began sharing her Malaysian family recipes on West Broadway in 1991 after immigrating from Kuala Lumpur. Dine-in and takeout are both available with no reservations accepted.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish), Stz’uminus, šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
