The Granville Island Public Market is a large indoor market on the waterfront in Vancouver, featuring fresh produce, seafood, baked goods, farmers stalls, and locally handcrafted artisan products. Managed by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation on behalf of the Government of Canada, it has operated since Granville Island's transformation from an industrial site in the 1970s and attracts millions of visitors annually. The market is open on all statutory holidays except December 25, 26, and January 1.
