Japanese Canadian Museum

The Langham Japanese Canadian Museum in Kaslo commemorates the forced internment of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians during WWII, including the nearly 1,100 interned in Kaslo itself — some of whom lived in the very Langham building that now houses the museum. Exhibits include period artifacts, archival photographs, audio recordings, interpretive displays, and the newly completed Ten-Chi-Jin Japanese Garden. Operated by the Langham Cultural Society, the museum is part of a vibrant cultural hub that also encompasses two galleries, an intimate theatre, and artist studios.
