Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort is a historic hotel on the shores of Kootenay Lake in the Selkirk Mountains, centered on natural mineral hot spring pools including a remarkable 150-foot horseshoe cave that has been used for healing by the Ktunaxa people since time immemorial. The resort combines indigenous cultural heritage with modern accommodation across a four-story main building and the newer Yaqan Nukiy Suites, all overlooking the lake and Purcell Mountains. For a touring cyclist, the therapeutic soaking pools offer genuine muscle recovery after a long day on Highway 31.
