Tashkent is a family-owned Uzbek halal restaurant occupying a stall in the International Village Mall Food Court in downtown Vancouver, bringing generations-old Central Asian recipes to the city. The business grew from a delivery-only service launched in 2023 into a full dine-in establishment, serving dishes such as Uzbek Plov cooked in a traditional cauldron, hand-pulled Lagman noodles, and steamed Manti dumplings. It fills a distinctive culinary niche as one of very few authentic Uzbek restaurants in Vancouver, with a warm atmosphere designed to reflect Central Asian dining traditions.
