Gina's Mexican Cafe is a locally owned, family-run Mexican restaurant established in 1986 and widely known as the 'pink house on the hill' in downtown Nanaimo. The colourful, self-described 'tacky but friendly' spot sources locally caught seafood, free-range eggs, and organic tofu for its menu of fajitas, burritos, tacos, chimichangas, and margaritas. Situated just off Highway 1 and a short walk from the boat basin and waterfront walkway, it makes a convenient and distinctive stop for cyclists passing through the city centre.
