Afghan Horsemen Restaurant
Established in 1974, Afghan Horsemen is the first Afghan restaurant ever opened in Canada, a family-managed institution that has anchored the Granville Island neighbourhood for over 50 years. The second-floor dining room offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a full menu of authentic Afghan cuisine, from lamb and chicken kebab platters to a wide range of vegetarian dishes. It has earned multiple Georgia Straight Readers' Choice Golden Plates awards for Best Middle Eastern Restaurant and remains a well-known culinary landmark in Vancouver.
