Stoneboat Vineyards
Stoneboat Vineyards is a family-owned estate winery on Oliver's Black Sage benchlands, with vineyards maturing since the late 1970s planted to Pinot Noir, Pinotage, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc. The name references the flat sledge once used to clear the abundant river rocks from the vineyard — those calcium-encrusted rocks are credited with lending the wines a distinct mineral character. Cyclists riding the South Okanagan wine routes can stop at the wine shop for tastings of handcrafted estate, small-lot, and reserve wines.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka’pamux), Syilx (Okanagan), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
