Heiltsuk Cultural Education Centre
The Heiltsuk Cultural Education Centre has operated for over thirty years in Bella Bella (Waglisla) on BC's remote Central Coast, dedicated to researching, preserving, and revitalizing the history, language, and cultural traditions of the Heiltsuk Nation. Its museum program showcases Heiltsuk art and artifacts with a focus on visual and hands-on learning, and the Centre actively pursues repatriation of heritage objects. A public resource centre offers access to archival and cultural materials, making it a meaningful stop for travellers reaching Bella Bella via the Discovery Coast ferry passage.
