Buckhorn Campground
Buckhorn is the vehicle-accessible trailhead campground for Cathedral Park, reached via a long rough gravel road through the Ashnola River valley; from here hikers ascend to jagged peaks, turquoise alpine lakes, and wildflower meadows. A permanent boil-water advisory is in effect, there is no cell service, and the 2023 Crater Creek wildfire has opened the forest canopy across much of the park.
