Nuba
Nuba is a well-established Vancouver Lebanese restaurant group with four city locations; the Yaletown 'Canteen' on Davie Street occupies a striking space fitted with overlapping ogival arches and wooden screens that blend traditional Middle Eastern geometry with a modern urban aesthetic. Founded nearly 20 years ago, Nuba sources fresh, local, and organic ingredients daily and emphasizes scratch cooking, with a large share of the menu being vegan and halal-certified meats. The Davie Street location includes both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a solid meal stop in a busy, cyclist-friendly neighbourhood.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish), Stz’uminus, šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
