Blue River Library

The Blue River Library is a small public branch of the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library system serving this remote community in BC's central interior along the Yellowhead Highway corridor. Originally opened in 1975 and operated out of a trailer before moving to a permanent portable in that same year, the current 1,008-square-foot building has been in service since 1998. Cycle tourists passing through one of the more isolated stretches of the Yellowhead route will find free Wi-Fi and a wheelchair-accessible public space in an area with few services.
