The Flealess Hound Pub
The Flealess Hound Pub is a British-style community pub in Oliver, BC, situated next to Gallagher Lake Resort and just north of the District Wine Village in the heart of the Okanagan wine country. Its quirky name comes from an actual 1935 newspaper story reporting that Oliver was mysteriously flea-free — a detail that reflects the owners' commitment to celebrating the region's unusual history. The pub has twice been named Best Pub, Best Happy Hour, and Best Patio by readers of the Penticton Western News, and welcomes dogs on its patio.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka’pamux), Syilx (Okanagan), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
