Spirit Bear Lodge
Spirit Bear Lodge is British Columbia's most remote wildlife viewing lodge, owned and operated by the Kitasoo Xai'xais First Nation in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest near Klemtu. Named a World's Best Adventure by National Geographic in 2025, the lodge offers all-inclusive multi-day packages focused on spirit bear and grizzly bear viewing, cultural immersion, and wilderness exploration within Kitasoo Xai'xais Traditional Territory. It was founded in 2001 and has become a widely cited model for Indigenous-led, conservation-based ecotourism.
