The Shipyards Skate Plaza
The Shipyards Skate Plaza is a covered outdoor ice rink operated by the City of North Vancouver, situated in the vibrant Shipyards waterfront district on the North Shore of Burrard Inlet. Part of a larger public space that includes Shipbuilders' Square and a splash park, it draws visitors to one of North Vancouver's most animated gathering spots. It operates seasonally, so touring cyclists would encounter it as a landmark waterfront destination rather than a year-round attraction.
This place is in the traditional territory of the S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish), šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam), and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
