Allan Brooks Nature Centre
Allan Brooks Nature Centre is a registered Canadian charity perched atop the grasslands above Vernon, offering panoramic views of Okanagan and Kalamalka lakes. A former Upper Air Weather Station converted into one of the Okanagan's leading environmental education destinations, it features scenic bunchgrass walking trails, interactive indoor exhibits on local flora and fauna, and seasonal events including live birds-of-prey demonstrations. Admission is by donation, making it an accessible and memorable stop for a touring cyclist exploring the North Okanagan.
