Regional bus systems across BC outside Metro Vancouver. Front-mounted rack, 2 bikes, first come first served, no fee, bikes ride unboxed. E-bikes ride on the rack with the lithium battery removed and carried on board, bike under 25 kg (55 lb); non-lithium and scooter or moped-style e-bikes are not allowed. Community-bus racks can only be used in daylight (bikes block the headlights). Most racks take tires up to 3 inches, some up to 2. Handy ferry, airport, and intercity connections: Victoria 70 and 72, Swartz Bay ferry to downtown; Cowichan Valley 66 CVX, Duncan to downtown Victoria, no transfer; Nanaimo 20/20A and 25, Departure Bay and Hullo ferries to downtown; Comox Valley 11, Little River ferry and the airport to Courtenay; Kelowna 23 then 97, airport to downtown; Prince Rupert 55, near the ferry terminal to downtown; Fraser Valley 66 FVX, Chilliwack to Lougheed SkyTrain via Abbotsford and Langley.
