Nax'id' Pub is an Indigenous-owned restaurant and pub in Port Hardy, on the northern tip of Vancouver Island, owned and operated by the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw First Nations. 'Nax'id'' is a Kwak̓wala word meaning 'to drink,' and the menu blends First Nations culinary traditions — including bannock dishes and house-smoked proteins from a custom on-site smokehouse — with craft cocktails and BC-sourced ingredients. For a touring cyclist arriving by ferry or completing the Island's north end, it is one of the few full-service dining experiences in the area.
