Joe Fortes
Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House is a Vancouver institution open for over 35 years, named after Seraphim 'Joe Fortes,' the city's first official lifeguard who became one of its most beloved citizens. The restaurant spans multiple distinct spaces — a grand horseshoe oyster bar, a mezzanine with live entertainment, a mahogany-walled wine room, and a rooftop garden with a living green wall and outdoor fireplace. It specializes in Pacific Northwest seafood and premium chops, serving more than 50 kinds of fresh fish alongside an award-winning list of over 300 wines.
