The Trail Museum & Archives is a free municipal museum opened in 2018 inside the Riverfront Centre, a shared civic facility that also houses the city library and visitor centre. It features three galleries, extensive archival holdings, and a gift shop developed in partnership with the Trail Historical Society, bringing local Kootenay history and heritage to life. For touring cyclists, it offers a no-cost cultural stop in central Trail with the added convenience of co-located visitor services.
