Free scheduled ferry (MV Francois Forester) operated by Waterbridge Equipment Ltd. under contract to the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit, crossing Francois Lake on Highway 35 about 26 km south of Burns Lake, between the community of Francois Lake (north side) and Southbank (south side). Crossing takes about 15 minutes; sailings run roughly 5:30 am–11 pm daily on a published timetable, no reservation needed. BC's Ministry of Transportation and Transit treats all inland ferries as an extension of the provincial highway system, mandated to accommodate all legal road users, including cyclists — bikes and e-bikes both ride free and unboxed.
