The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is anchored by a striking 1889 Victorian mansion alongside seven modern galleries, holding the largest public art collection in British Columbia — over 22,000 works — including the most significant collection of Asian art in Western Canada. Founded in 1951 when the Spencer Mansion was donated to the city, the AGGV is a genuine landmark in Victoria's Rockland neighbourhood and a draw for visitors from across the island and beyond. Cyclists will find it a culturally rich stop, with free admission days and a coat-room locker area where large bags can be safely stored.
