El Santo
El Santo is a contemporary Mexican restaurant in the heart of New Westminster, named after El Santo — the legendary masked luchador and childhood hero of founder Alejandro Diaz. Since opening in 2015, Executive Chef Sam Fabbro has built a menu around Pacific Northwest ingredients with a Mexican twist, including house-made corn tortillas and regional specialties not found elsewhere on the Canadian coast. The restaurant also runs el Santo CAN, a community fundraising initiative that has raised over $120,000 for the Canucks Autism Network.
