Hot Chocolates & Cakebread Artisan Bakery is a family-owned artisan food shop in downtown Courtenay that has been hand-crafting chocolate truffles and confections since 1986 and baking European-style artisan breads and custom cakes under the Cakebread name since 2006. Everything is made in-house using GMO-free Canadian flours and ethically sourced single-origin Colombian chocolate. Touring cyclists passing through Courtenay will find freshly baked breads, cookies, savoury lunch items, and an eclectic range of handcrafted chocolate confections.
