Chemainus Theatre
The Chemainus Theatre Festival is a fully professional, non-profit theatre in the seaside community of Chemainus on Vancouver Island, presenting Canadian performers in a 274-seat wheelchair-accessible auditorium with a raked floor for clear sightlines from every seat. Founded in the early 1990s as part of Chemainus's celebrated arts renaissance, the theatre pairs live productions with an on-site Playbill Dining Room serving meals for up to 160 guests. It serves as a cultural anchor for the community and a compelling stop for visitors exploring Vancouver Island.
This place is in the traditional territory of the Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, Quw’utsun, Semiahmoo, Snuneymuxw, Stz’uminus, and Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla.
