The Rocking Horse Pub is a proper English-style pub tucked into quiet Nanoose Bay that has been a community anchor since 1978, featuring real wood fireplaces, a garden patio, and 19 beers on tap from local craft breweries and European labels. Founded by Arthur and Ada Knight and now stewarded by owner Gordon McKinlay, it serves hearty British fare—think Bangers & Mash, meat pies, and fish & chips—alongside live bands every Saturday evening. It has been voted Favourite Bar/Pub by the Parksville & Qualicum Beach community, making it a well-regarded stop along this stretch of Vancouver Island.
